At the deepest level of forgiveness, you realize there is nothing to forgive. Not because what happened was acceptable. Not because it did not hurt. But because what you were witnessing was unconsciousness. A human being acting from pain they had never healed. Fear they had never faced. A false identity they believed was who they were. The way someone treats you reveals what is happening within them. It does not define you. And when I look back at the people I have hurt, I can see the same truth. I was blind. I was acting from shame, trauma, fear and a complete misunderstanding of who I was. That does not excuse my actions. But it helps me understand them. “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Jesus spoke those words while being tortured by the very people he was forgiving. So forgiveness is not pretending the wound never happened. It is refusing to carry their unconsciousness inside of you any longer. It is releasing them. It is releasing yourself. It is leaving the prison of the past and returning to the only place healing can ever happen. Here. Now. Whole. Aaron Doughty

I was fortunate enough to study under my teacher/mentor/guru in person for years on this, but even after all the teachings it didn’t fully click. Then he sent me The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes. And that’s when it really clicked. We have to reprogram our subconscious minds to manifest what we want. This is the knowledge the people in power have kept secret. In fact they have hijacked our visualization to play out their agendas. They literally harness our own power. We have to take back our power and visualize our own personal success and happiness. When enough of us do this that will then manifest the success and happiness of the world. My teacher almost had to convince me when I first came to him that materialism is not good nor bad. But attachment to it is. You can be spiritual and be poor, you can be spiritual and be rich. But more important than rich or poor is simply enjoying where you are at. If you have money enjoy that, if you do, enjoy that too. I think we are at such a time in the world where this type of knowledge should become mainstream. People need to know just how powerful their own mind and their own thought and visualization truly is.
