This is a guide for putting on a spare tire

If you ever get a flat tire while driving, pull over and read this guide to get the spare on. Make sure you don’t drive on the spare for too long.

Pull over to a safe location

Grab the tools and spare tire from the back of your car (usually under the trunk floor)

Loosen lug nuts around flat wheel
- 4

Use the jack to stabilize and raise the car
- 5
Remove lug nuts and flat tire
- 6

Put the spare tire on by lining it up with the wheel studs and lightly tighten the lug nuts by hand
- 7

Lower the vehicle and tighten the lights with the wrench
- 8

Pack away your tools and start driving to the nearest tire shop. You don’t want to drive for more than 50 miles on a spare typically.
